A beautiful young lady identified as Princess Micah has won the hearts of Ghanaians and social media folks after she defied all odds to graduate from the university despite her rare skin condition.
Princess Micah who is suffering from a rare skin disease called vitiligo took to Instagram to share her graduation photos.
Minutes after dropping the photos well wishes trooped in with words of encouragement and congratulatory messages for defying all odds to pursue her dreams.
Indeed she has done well, not everyone with such a condition would feel comfortable being in the midst of people.
After I chanced on her photo, I visited her wall to check out some of her photos, and I noticed she is someone who is very happy with her life. In fact she is a happy soul who is not bothered about her condition though people may see her differently.
A little education on her skin condition
Vitiligo is a disease that causes the loss of skin colour in blotches.
Vitiligo occurs when pigment-producing cells die or stop functioning.
Loss of skin colour can affect any part of the body, including the mouth, hair and eyes. It may be more noticeable in people with darker skin.
Treatment may improve the appearance of the skin but doesn’t cure the disease.
This disease according to doctors can last for years or be lifelong.
